Butcherbugs are a very small crustaceal arachnid species native to Dagobah.

Butcher bug
Butcherbugs live in the lower parts of Dagobah's jungle, spinning very sharp, micro-fine webs between fallen branches and tree roots (including the roots of adult gnarltrees) to snare and slice prey, like Jubba Birds, to bits. The web was so sharp that it is invisible to the naked Human eye. Because of their small size, butcherbugs are prey for a number of larger species, such as lesser bogwings. Covered in a bright green chitinous shell, the butcherbug's two interlocking mandibles can be used to pick up and tear flesh.
