Giant Megalopede (Titanomegalopdes parascolopendra eophobos)

Diet: Small and medium sized vertebrates, large invertebrates.

One of the fastest and most fearsome of Scar Island’s giant Arthropods is the Giant Megalopede. This huge venomous centipede undulates quickly from place to place, in search of its prey, which can be as large as a dog. Its venom is very strong, but does not kill people generally; humans bitten suffer excruciating pain for up to 2 days. Explorers have nicknamed it the “wish-you-were-dead bug” due to the pain of the bite.
