Scar Island teems with a huge variety of smaller insects, which are commonly overlooked in favour of the hypertrophied giant kinds. Some of these little ones are quite striking, and there is great variety. Jewelled Canopy Chafer are found in the crowns and branches of rainforest trees, where they feed of nutritious vegetable matter of all kinds.
