Megaflopters are part Meganeura and part VTOL Helicopter. They are fast fliers that eat ore, prey on washer wasps, and like their dragonflopter cousins, they are also strong enough to carry Reptools.

Megaflopters seek ore like many other creatures in the Mechazoic, but also eat Screwsuitos, bit-bugs and washer wasps. But unlike many other Mechazoic Arthropods, they are intelligent enough to be reasoned with and can be convinced to help, if one can find a way to communicate with them.

- Meganeura (a dragonfly-related griffinfly) is the basis for a Mega-flopter
- the wingspan of a Megaflopter is 2-3 feet across, just like its real life counterpart Meganeura
